As a season partner of La Boîte Theatre Company, we’re thrilled to be providing flowers for their production of Straight White Men, opening at the Roundhouse Theatre, Kelvin Grove on Thursday 28 July. FLOWER OF THE WEEK - BLUSHING BRIDES
Originating in South Africa, Blushing Brides are a member of the Protea family, flowering in cooler weather with white bracts, or floral leaves surrounding tufts of off-white to pink flowers. It is thought the plant received its name because of its use in bride’s bouquets in South Africa. When purchasing look avoid bunches with drooping flowers, opt for bunches where about half are open.
To keep them lasting, recut 2cm, strip the lower half of the stem and place them in a clean vase in a cool location.

JACOB'S CREEK ROSE LAUNCH
Last week were asked by Jacob's Creek to provide table arrangements for the launch of their new Le Petit Rosé. Of course we had to use roses. Here is what they had to say:

EXCITING NEWS! CALLING ALL FLORISTS!
We are very excited to promote the Floristry Competitions at the Royal Queensland Show this year - bringing flowers back to 'EKKA' in the new Flower and Garden precinct being showcased in the beautiful surrounds of The Old Museum building and gardens.
