The Hipster Insider's Guide to A2

Bon Apétit magazine featured a local barista and her (pretty hipster) Insider’s Guide to Ann Arbor—how much do you agree with her suggestions?

OUR FRAGMENTED DIGITAL LIVES

I know, that’s deep. But when headphones help separate us from our surroundings, or our devices allow us to constantly multi-task, it’s clear just how fragmented life has become #deep #realtalk. On a related note, some words to get you through your recent/current/impending quarter-life crisis 😅.

Michigan Union

ALL THINGS MICHIGAN

This week, the regents approved a massive renovation of our beloved Michigan Union, bringing the 97-year-old structure into the 21st century. They’ll focus on updating facilities to better fit the needs of students while maintaining the building’s history. If only I were ten years younger, *sigh*. In other news, Harbaugh is not just a coach, he’s a musical sensation?!

CHOOSE EMPATHY

Empathy doesn’t work the way you think it does—and that’s both a good and a bad thing.

The Friday Bluebook

Ann Arbor has how many public parks? (Click answer below.)

A

23

B

78

C

159

In last week’s Friday Bluebook, 45% of you correctly guessed that a meteorite was stolen from (and returned to) the U-M Museum of Natural History back in the day! 15% thought it might have been a whale fossil, and a whopping 40% said a mammoth bone. Honestly, I think this is the first time in weeks that a (semi) majority clicked the correct answer ... awkward?? #michigandifference
