Dear Game On! Families,

Our Game On! tradition - Olympic Week - is taking grip. The opening ceremony complete with torches and a parade of nations, an international flare of teams that recruit across all age divisions, a special Olympic spirit that pervades, and the thrill of competition. We compete for our nations in sports, track & field, goofy Olympic games and spirit contests, all of which makes for memories, laughter and lots of spirit.

From Game On! Olympics to Rio - that is what our Game On! Girls dreams are made of.

Spotlight on: Ultimate Frisbee

Campers were treated to an Ultimate Frisbee clinic on Thursday courtesy of Ultimate Chicago. They learned proper forehand and backhand throwing technique and also had the opportunity to try and "go long" for passes from the instructors. (It's harder than it looks!)

Ultimate Frisbee incorporates skills from a multitude of sports including football, basketball and soccer. Points are scored by catching the disc in the end zone (like football). Players also are not allowed to take more than three steps with the frisbee before passing. It's a fast paced game and oh so much fun!
