Communication update: 

Well it's been a great couple of months. Bible core course was phenomenal and our outreach was very impactful. Let me tell you what happened in Hong Kong and Taiwan. 

One night in Hong Kong:
It was around 1am and the three of us were heading to the train to catch a 45 minute journey back home. As we were about to head down the stairs Lynn stopped and saw an old woman begging on the street. laying prone in a very humble position hunched in a lowly pose of pain, she reached up her hands asking for money without using any words or eye contact. We gave her some dollars and then attempted to talk to her. At first she was hesitant, then we actually sat with her and looked and made eye contact saying "Ni Hao nai nai". (Hello grandmother) she smiled and spoke back. 

She told Lynn in Cantonese that she was sick and felt bad, Lynn told her I was a medic and she I insisted I check her out. She grabbed my hand and put it on her chest and had me feel, what I felt was a bounding heartbeat, practically bursting out of her chest. I took her pulse and checked her basic vitals signs that I could there on the street. I knew she had CHF (Congestive Heart Failure) the same thing my dad died from. I know the signs and symptoms and prognosis, it will eventually kill her unless she changes her lifestyle and diet to a pure vegetarian/vegan one and begins exercising regularly. I assessed her health and lifestyle and it was not one of exercise or healthy eating. 
 

I shared with Lynn and she translated slowly and the lady seemed to listen but whether she understood or will take action on it I do not know. And we prayed; She was Buddhist and didn't believe in God, but she accepted prayer. So the three of us prayed for her. We prayed for healing, for Jesus to work a miracle in this woman's heart and soul. We shared the Gospel with her reading through verses in Chinese  . (bottom page below) 

She thanked us and was moved to tears, we hugged and she hugged and the ladies cried, Marc and I just thanked God for his goodness. We shared with her that we loved her and that God loved her, who knows if she's ever heard or thought about that before. As we were still hugging, her friend came who was also a street beggar and they got on the train together and that was that.
Now I don't know what's happened to her, if she came to know God or have a healing, or if she's still working and begging cash from commuters everyday, but at least in that hour and in our encounter she felt loved and heard about Jesus, and received prayer. For that I'm grateful, that no matter what we do or where we go, God can put us in paths of people who need us at a particular moment, for a particular thing, whom we have the choice to serve and love in a particular way.

~ And what God is doing now and where I feel I'm being guided, is to serve as a missionary for the next 2 years for now. To join the staff at YWAM Perth and serve, to learn submission to authority, and to grow as a servant leader; while God shapes me into someone who can be a good leader of others. 

"I am the Lords chosen light to the nations, to fight the darkness here on earth. As a christian we are Gods messengers on the earth,and our duty is to pray and intercede, to evangelize and spread the message of Jesus,and to obey and serve in love and humility. This is what we attain too,we are people in process of being more like Christ."

He who believes in Jesus is not condemned, but he who does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only son of God. And this is the verdict, light has come into the world but people loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. For everyone that does evil hates the light,  and doesn't come into the light because his deeds will be exposed and shamed. But he that does truth comes into the light so that his deeds can be seen that the are by God.
