The PTSA at Glendale High supports programs such as Red Ribbon Week, Reflections, and Toy and Food Drives for families in need.  We run the concessions booth during football games, keep track of student community service hours, and work hard to bridge the gap between school and home through this weekly email and by posting important information on the Glendale High PTSA Facebook page.  We also host the Senior Awards Night Reception, Baccalaureate reception, Honorary Service Awards reception, and staff appreciation luncheons.  In addition, we make monetary donations to the school for student and staff programs and support.

Membership in the PTSA is only $10 per person.  Students may join for only $6.

When you join the PTSA, you do NOT need to come to meetings or volunteer to help with events.  We understand that not everyone has extra time to give, but the more members we have, the louder and stronger our voice!  We are here to help YOU and your student, as well as support the staff at GHS. So join PTSA to help us in our efforts.  Of course, if you can volunteer your time, we'd love to have you on our team.   JOIN NOW!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Looking for volunteers to help promote our GHS PTSA by encouraging memberships with parents, students and staff during our 4 day schedule pick up and freshman orientation events. on July 26th - July 29th. We will need help with flier distribution and membership encouragement and sales!  Sign Up for a time slot!

Help and food donations are also needed for our Annual Back-To-School Staff Lunch on Friday, August 5th.  We will be serving a catered lunch from 11:30 - 1 pm. We need volunteers to help set up, serve, and clean up, as well as folks to donate desserts and other assorted food items. This is a great way to start off the year and say "thanks ahead" to our hard-working teachers, administration, and staff for all that they do to make Glendale High great.
Sign Up for a time slot or food item!
Glendale High students are encouraged to perform at least 100 hours of community service for a non-profit or charitable organization during their four years of high school.  Students who achieve this level of service and submit the appropriate forms will receive the GHS Community Service Award when they graduate.

Community service is not a graduation requirement, but it can make a big difference when students are applying for admission to colleges and trade schools, and for scholarships to pay for higher education.  It can also provide excellent work experience for students who will be entering the job market.

You must have a parent permission slip on file in order for your community service hours to count.  You also must volunteer for a qualifying non-profit or charitable organization. For more details check out the Community Service Hours page on the school website.
Help Ms. Khachturian get her Donors Choose
