Courses

The new and improved version of the Postgraduate Diploma in Parish Church Studies: 'History, Heritage and

Fabric', is now housed in the Centre for Lifelong Learning.

The course is a part-time, two-year programme run entirely online via a virtual learning environment. The only course of this type in Britain, the diploma enables those wishing to enhance their understanding of local sites of importance in order to develop new areas of expertise or those involved in the design and implementation of conservation techniques. It is equally valuable for lay staff, volunteers and those simply with a general interest in the parish landscape. It is also endorsed by the IHBC for CPD.
The programme starts in late September, concurrent with each new academic year – places are limited to ensure a constructive atmosphere for discussions.

Getting it Write About Refugees
Christian Aid is launching a new initiative to help change the way refugees are reported on/ perceived through the media. They are appealing to churchgoers across the diocese and the South West to write to their local paper with letters and stories celebrating the value and life of each individual, affirming everyone’s right to a safe place to call home as well as underlining the positive contributions refugees are making to our society.
