A lot has been happening around our nation. In the last couple weeks, two black men were killed by police in incidents broadcast around the country on social media, five police officers were killed in Dallas (and three more in Baton Rouge on Sunday morning), over 80 people were killed in Nice, France, and anxieties continue to be stoked by an intense Presidential Election cycle. And this is a sampling of what we have been witnessing for a long time.

What can we say in response to all this? What can we do? Pastor Keith offers some thoughts, drawing on the book of Job, and seeking what we can say that is true...

Church Flowers. Church flowers are available every week for only $15.00 per bouquet. There is a sign-up sheet located on Deaconâ€™s Table in Narthex. Please also notify Rosemary Hargreaves re your flower request.

Summer Worship. As we did last summer, we will hold Sunday Morning Worship in Foster Hall this summer, beginning June 12^th and continuing through the month of September. Our main reason is to save money on air conditioning. Last year we saved a lot doing this. But we also found that worshipping in a more cozy setting was nice for the Summer. Weâ€™re making some changes in response to the feedback we got last year. If you have any concerns, please contact us.

THANK YOU! The Children's Ministry Team wants to heartily thank the many people who helped with and volunteered in Vacation bible School this year! It was a great year! Over 80 children attended and over 50 volunteers served on staff! So many of you donated supplies and money. We collected $886.00 through our Adopt-a-Child Program alone! But greatest of all was the chance to talk about Jesus with so many people right in our neighborhood! the dates for next year are July 10-14
