Pioneering study into use of antibiotic to treat appendicitis in children
Surgeons in Southampton are leading a pioneering study into whether or not antibiotics can prevent the need for surgery in children with acute appendicitis.

Research will help GPs diagnose urinary tract infections in children and improve antibiotic use
After a three-year study involving more than 7,000 children, researchers have developed a technique to help GPs and nurses diagnose urinary tract infections (UTIs) in children.
