2016 Summer Newsletter

July 18, 2016

Wow, how time flies when you're having fun!  We have now been itinerating for 6 months, that is so hard to believe!  We have been visiting some truly amazing churches, getting to know some very kind and missions-minded people, spending time with colleagues and training.  We recently spent a month in Springfield, MO for missionary training and renewal, and were greatly blessed by it!

MT/MR and Commissioning Service

We spent a month in Springfield, MO being poured into by our amazing leadership!  It is incredible to see the love and support of so many people you look up to and respect.  We received region-specific training, specifically about the Secular People's Initiative in Europe.  On the last night we were officially commissioned as Assemblies of God World Missionaries, a moment we have both dreamed about for many years.  It was a powerful and moving service.  At the end our District Superintendent, Terry Raburn, and District Missions Director, Tom Manning prayed over us.  It was an unforgettable moment!

Where We Are At

As of right now, we have reached 32% of our monthly budget, which is very exciting!  We are so thankful for everyone who has been faithfully supporting us financially, we pray for you on a daily basis.  Please be praying for us, that the churches we visit would be open to hearing about what God has called us to do in Slovenia!

This Edition's Aidan-ism

When we visit churches, we have a mint-dish on our display table.  For obvious reasons, Aidan is not allowed to have them.  Sometimes, when people come up to take a prayer card, as they reach for a mint, he will scrunch his face, and say, "No touch the candy, put it back!"  We usually make a light-hearted joke about how they have to promise to pray for us, and then they can have the mint.

Sharing Hope For Slovenia

We have been blessed to visit churches in a few different states since January.  Dan has travelled to Tennessee, West Florida and Ohio, and together we have been to Georgia, Missouri and all through Florida.  We have been so privileged to share the call we feel God has placed on our lives to reach the people of Slovenia.  Abigail has been able to share in several children's churches, and it is honestly moving to see so many children excited to reach other children with the love of Jesus!

Thank You

Thank you to those of you who participated in our #hopeforslovenia T-shirt booster fundraising!  We raised $478!  If you haven't done so yet, please take a picture of yourself in it, and share it with us, we'd love to see it!

Family News

Unfortunately, since our last newsletter, Abigail has lost two of her grandparents.  We are very saddened by this, however they both knew the Lord, and are rejoicing together, with their heavenly Father.  This does mean, however that we been able to spend a little time with Abigail's parents, Paul and Jocelyn Gracza, who are missionaries in Hungary.
