Kinsler's game-winning tag

 Games played July 17-18, 2016

Updates

Dodgers CF Joc Pederson is expected to return from the disabled list today.

The Miami Marlins released farmhand Craig Breslow.

July 18 games

Oakland 3B Danny Valencia drew a bases-loaded walk in a 7-4 win over Houston. On the other side of the diamond, Astros P Scott Feldman tossed four innings of one-run relief, yielding 6 hits and no walks while striking out 4. Feldman faced Valencia twice, forcing him to hit into a double play in the 7th inning, and then striking him out in the 8th with men on second and third.

Depending who you believe, the A's plan to reduce Valencia's playing time in favor of younger teammates, or trade him.

Detroit 2B Ian Kinsler went hitless in a 1-0 win over Minnesota. He ended the game and a 9th-inning threat by tagging out an attempted base-stealer at second base.

Reliever Richard Bleier did not play in the Yankees' 2-1 win over Baltimore.

Ryan Braun's Brewers and Kevin Pillar's Blue Jays were idle.

July 17 games

Toronto CF Kevin Pillar singled in a 5-3 win over Oakland. On the other side of the diamond,
A's 3B Danny Valencia hit two singles.

Milwaukee LF Ryan Braun singled in a 1-0 loss to Cincinnati.

Tigers 2B Ian Kinsler hit two singles in a 4-2 win over Kansas City.

Reliever Richard Bleier did not play in the Yankees' 3-1 win over Boston.

Reliever Scott Feldman did not play in Houston's 8-1 win over Seattle.
