"To all the girls who were ever told they weren't smart enough or good enough or deserving enough. This one's for you."

Hello, friends and favorite readers!

One of the joys of writing a series is the occasional character who surprises you. Hardworking single mom Cynthie Lodge - the man-hunting cocktail waitress from
Carolina Home, Meg Fletcher's high school friend in Carolina Girl - is one of those characters.

I love Cynthie, who needs to learn she's deserving of love, and Max is my sweetest hero ever. Publisher's Weekly called their story "excellent and emotional."

You can
read an excerpt here and buy it from these on-line vendors.

This is a digital release only. If you missed the original print release, it is still available in the anthology Ask Me Why.

I hope you enjoy!

Thanks to all of you who dropped by my Facebook author page for my "All By Myself" party, and the many who e-mailed me. You all are the best!

To say thank you, one of you will receive a special "newsletter subscriber only" giveaway: a signed copy of my RITA Award finalist from last year, Carolina Man; a signed copy of pal and party guest pal Brenda Harlen's His Long Lost Family;
Theresa Romain's RITA Award finalist from this year; and, in honor of her Lifetime Achievement Award, a copy of the wonderful Robyn Carr's Wildest Dreams.

Also a glass slipper, because some dreams really do come true.

Happy summer and happy reading!
