Greetings - The Folkathon is now behind us. We're filled with happy memories of the songs and stories and cheers and greetings and expressions of gratitude. Folkathon netted more than $11,000 for the renovation fund and gave the old room the tribute it deserves. In every way we can measure, it was a grand success. Thank you.

And the show goes on! This weekend is a special one for Mom. Our Mother's Day matinee features a four-mom band, Triskele. Their robust Irish music and high spirits are just the thing to celebrate the strength and love that Mom provides. We scheduled for 3 PM so you can head out for dinner after the show, or just go home and give mom a foot rub and clean the kitchen for her.

On Friday night we bring back Gurf Morlix from Austin, TX. If you're familiar with the Austin music scene, you'll know that it's top artists write songs with warm melodies and lyrics that mean business. In addition to topping the charts in the US and Europe with his own albums, producing award-winning records for Lucinda Williams, Robert Earl Keen, Mary Gauthier, and Ray Wylie Hubbard, Gurf has long been an in-demand guitarist, playing for years with Lucinda, Warren Zevon, Buddy Miller and many others. He richly deserves his spot in the Austin Music Hall of Fame and we're honored to have him back on our stage.

Saturday's show is going to be fantastic. The South Carolina Broadcasters are just plain bona fide. With close harmonies and fingers flying they lean into a single mic and raise the rafters with gospel songs, mountain ballads, old-time novelty songs and primitive bluegrass. Just in case you missed out on the '60s folk revival, here's your chance to experience its sound first hand. Let me repeat, The South Carolina Broadcasters are fantastic. :-)
