Well, y'all, I did it. I'd been all talk about taking a trip on my own somewhere and then suddenly, the stars aligned and a couch was offered by a generous cousin (shout out to JP!) and off I went to the Pacific Northwest. I can now officially say I've been to the West Coast! It only took 31 years - not bragging or anything. It was short but action packed (that's what she said?)
I got to see the incomparable mediocrity (and my personal hero) Miss Dina Martina, was traumatized by the monstrosity that is the Seattle hot dog (CREAM CHEESE!!1!), had some of the best Huevos Rancheros of my young life at Linda's, took a bike tour of downtown and got to see a bit of Ballard at King's Hardware. And I haven't even gotten into the Boylesque 101 graduation recital and Burning Man introduction warehouse party, but they're both what they sound like.
Links to everything will be included below. I've had a pretty hectic few days back, but I've already got a list going of things to do *when* I return. Get thee to Seattle if you can, dear reader.
Look What I'm Making
Hats, hats, hats! Hats are the perfect traveling companion and these two are no exception.
I'm working on a Dillenger hat (kits available at Knit 1) in the blue color scheme. It's fingering weight so I need a lot of breaks, but watching it grow is so mesmerizing.
I'm also working on another Blazonry hat in some super secret yarn that you'll hear more about later.
I've Been Watching Reruns, mostly. I've been busy LIVING, honey, but I'm watching a lot of The West Wing while doing my best to ignore the primaries. I think it's best for my mental health.
