For the next few weeks, we're going to work on carving out a dedicated time with God, making Him a part of our every day routine. He will meet us where we are at, whenever we need Him!

I'll be teaching you how I have organized my every day planner to include sections for journaling, prayer and blessings. This simple, portable way to read the bible makes it easy to do anywhere. And the bonus is that after you record what you read, and your prayer, you are able to look back any time to re-read how God is working in your life, and what He is telling you!

This week, the passage I'd love to have you focus on is the first chapter of Malachi. Have you ever read the book of Malachi? I don't think I have, so I had a good time studying it while I prepared for this challenge!

In this chapter, God's people had become complacent in their offerings to Him. It serves as a great reminder that no matter how busy we get, God ALWAYS deserves our best! Dedicating time to hear from Him every day will honor Him, and keep His word at the forefront of your mind as you resume your normal routines.

After you read chapter 1:
-Read the study notes in your bible if you have them, and/or look up the cross reference verses in your margins.
-Journal one paragraph summarizing what you have read.
-Write out a one paragraph prayer to God, telling Him what is on your heart after studying this passage.
-Write out one blessing for the day.
-If you have a journaling Bible and the time, take the next step and try some hand lettering/calligraphy with the prompt, "God deserves my best!"

I wrote out some passages to get you through the week, but feel free to go out on your own, and choose whatever passages are meaningful to you! There are no rules with this, it's just a way to get you into the Word.

See you next Tuesday!
Blessings,
Angie
