ONTARIO CONTACT
Ontario Contact 2016
Showcase Selection
Ontario Contact will be announcing the showcasing artists later this month. Offers have gone out and we are waiting on all to confirm that they are still available. There is a list of alternates eager and ready to step in should a spot open up.
New This Year
We will be introducing some new approaches this year. There will be a box lunch with the option to join one of the Ontario Presents members and learn about their successful strategies, speak to funders or share stories with other presenters.
Workshop for Touring Artists
Getting Ready for the Road: A Comprehensive Guide for Touring Artists is an expansion of the former Artist Readiness Workshop offered a couple of years ago. If you know artists who are considering touring, suggest that they consider attending this workshop to learn what they need to know to tour provincially, nationally and internationally.
Venues and Accommodation
We have two theatres available to us and are excited to be in both Showplace and Market Hall theatres. The host hotel for this year's Contact event is Holiday Inn Peterborough-Waterfront. Ontario Contact has made arrangements for our delegates. To book your room and access special rate, visit our conference website. Please book before October 1, 2016.
Registration
We are planning to open registration later in June. An announcement will be made when we are ready to accept your registrations. Stay tuned!
If you have any questions you may contact Event Manager Cheryl Ewing directly at cheryl@ontariopresents.ca

Marketing Workshop for Presenters
After the data… using what you know in everyday marketing
Using data from Environics Analytics, Ontario Presents has been able to assist many presenters to figure out who their audience is, what types of products they consume, how far they travel to get to the theatre and what types of people live around the theatre. But how does this translate into marketing planning and execution?
Facilitated by Julie Fossitt, Marketing Manager, Cultural Services, City of Kingston and Mary Ann Farrell, Director of Marketing, Communications & Development, Sony Centre for the Performing Arts, the workshop will take place during Members Retreat in Parry Sound. Read more
