- Belk Charity Day total so far is around $500. We should have a final amount next week. We'll have the team competition results soon.
- Our first Tourist game was successful. There was a lot of fun and fellowship. We made $115, but it was not a busy night. The next game is May 24th 5:00- 10:00.
- May 9th – Lyra vocal Ensemble from Russia concert at ST. Marks Lutheran 7:00
- The Kiwanis Race is May 15th. There are close to 800 runners signed up. Sign up sheets were sent around to work Saturday for packet pick up 12:15-4:30
- The District Food Drive is April 1 - August 19. Bring your non perishable items to the meeting each week. We will give the food we collect to Steadfast House. Some things they can use are staples such as flour, sugar, canned meats, cooking oil,etc. If you have extra garden items you would like to donate, someone will drop them off for you after the meeting.
- No meeting at noon on June 7th due to elections. Instead, we will have a family picnic at the Tourist game that night. More details to come.

Our club will be working a concession stand at Asheville Tourist games this season! The club will receive 10% of sales each time we work. We have the following dates available to work. There will need to be 8 people working each game.
Be sure to put future games on your calendar.

Two people can also work for one hour serving food for a business picnic before the game and will make $100 for the club! You can also watch the game when you're finished working! Dates will be announced at future meetings.

Speaker Spotlight

- Robin Payne with Jr. Achievement spoke to our club today.
- Jr. Achievement is a nonprofit organization that has been serving the youth of WNC since 1978 in grades K-12 with programs in Financial Literacy, Workforce Readiness and Entrepreneurship.
- The programs are taught in the classroom by volunteers in the community.
- There are current volunteer opportunities at Weaverville and Woodfin Elementary.
