"THANK YOU!"

Yes, your active love for the people of Mozambique has definitely created a memorial of "Remembrance"! Your compassion through financially supporting the Alegria Progect resulted in the ability to give family members in our Afrika Wa Yesu churches in the Nacala region food to sustain them until 'now'.  'Now' in the north the harvests from the fields are coming in. Your generosity bridged a gap and 'now' harvested food is seen being carried in baskets on the women's heads from their fields to their families.  Glory to God!

Thank you for building this bridge not only with your generosity but with your prayers! Thank you for your heart for the nation of Mozambique and her people.    The povo (people) shout, "Thank You"...... We all "Thank You!" at Afrika wa Yesu Nacala!
In Racine, seven family members live in Pai Muchanqueque hut. Walking 2 miles to church his family is faithful. Not only by attending but helping to build and/or doing whatever is needed at the time
.
We can always recognize Pai Muchanqueque by his infamous blue hat. Fatima in the forefront is the wife of Pai Martines at Racine wa Yesu.  This couple came to know Jesus when we were meeting under a tree to later be water baptized.  Pai is an alumni AWYesu student now leading the church in Racine.   How many people live in their hut?  It's a never ending flow of family/friends/neighbors and a growing community. It can range from 5 to ??? on any given day of which mostly are grandchildren.  If anyone is in need, Pai Martines and Fatima are always ready to help. The bag of rice she is cradling may seem large, but it will be distributed beyond their hut walls.
Almost blind, Pipi (Grandmother) Angelina comes to church in Courtinho and even though her body is frail, she is strong.  As a widow, the church community is her family.  Students helped distribute the food and the love of Jesus filled her stomach more than the rice she received.
Meet Taibo the leader at Navevene and an Afrika wa Yesu alumni student.  Helping the students distribute food, Taibo learned a lesson in God's love through giving.  When the leader knows what it means to give, the flock will follow.
THANK YOU!

We have watched this young lady Omalelia grow up.  From a single youth 4 years ago who came to our first meetings in Courtinho during AWYesu student outreach to receiving Jesus.  The day of her water baptism she arose out of the water grinning from ear to ear and her life has never been the same.  Every meeting she comes with her daughter.  Every meeting she leaves more in love with Jesus.
Mae Fatima (left) is a pillar at Navevene.  Every transition, location change, Fatima remains faithful.  AIDS is withering her body, but her spirit is bigger and stronger. The church community and their love sustains her.  When we need someone to pray,  sing or share, Fatima is always ready and jumps to the occasion. Fatima blesses anyone who comes to church more than she realizes.
