Dear <<First Name>>,
We’ll keep this mini-update short as we know many of you receive lots of mail this time of year. We have much to be thankful for as 2010 draws to a close. A few highlights:
* We thank God for bringing us to a new town and church and for helping us to start settling in. He’s given us new friends at church and a great house to live and work in.
* We are thankful that all the details for Cor Deo are falling into place nicely – start date 15 February 2011! God has given us seven participants, adequate funding and a place to meet.
* We are thankful that Melanie’s health (headaches and energy) has improved quite a bit over this year and in general, she is feeling much better, although she appreciates your continued prayers.
We are also thankful for each one of you reading this letter. Thank you for your prayers for us and other encouragement and support. We are so blessed to have an awesome team of people like you, partnering with us.
Top 3 prayer requests:
* Cor Deo: For Ron Frost’s visa for the UK to be granted soon. (Ron and Peter will be co-leading Cor Deo.) Paperwork is (finally!) completed and application is in process. Pray for Peter and Ron as they spend the next weeks preparing for Cor Deo to start.
* Church involvement: Pray for God to be working in hearts and show us clearly how he wants us to be used. Immediate request: Peter will preach twice tomorrow at Christmas outreach services. Pray for open hearts and abundant fruit.
* Family: Pray for rest and a special time as a family over Christmas. We will have a friend, Ruth, staying with us from the 21st to 27th and Peter’s sister’s family with us from 26th to 30th.
Happy Christmas from all of us!
Peter, Melanie, Hannah, Aliyah, Mariah and Joel
Because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun (JESUS!) will come to us from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.
