Hi All

Hawke's Bay continues to be getting good weather heading into Winter and this means many of you are still out there training. Even the Orca's at Hardinge Road didn't put some swimmers off.
Don't get caught out on these dark evenings if your running or biking, people need to see you and we have many sponsors who can help you out with reflective clothing and lights for your bikes.

As most of you know this is the time of year you start planning for the season ahead, weather its your first triathlon or you are working towards Ironman 2017. In Hawke's Bay we are lucky to have a place that has such a variety of routes you can take with both the bike and run. As a club we have coaches that can help you achieve your goals and different training groups that you can join in with. A good place to start is either the website or Facebook

The 2016-2017 gets underway on the 29th May with our first Friendly Dental Series Duathlon at Haumoana sponsored by Shoe Clinic. This is a stunning course and there is an event for all abilities. CLICK FOR DETAILS

News from Triathlon New Zealand
From November 2016 it will be compulsory to be a member of Triathlon New Zealand (TriBE) if you intend taking part in Ironman (70.3 & Ironman) Challenge Wanaka, Triathlon New Zealand Sanctioned Events, ITU races. You will be asked if you are a member and if not a $50 race day licence will need to be paid. You can add this to your membership at the start of the 2016-2017 season or by going to Triathlon New Zealand CLICK HERE for further details
