Dear Friends,
“The greatest among you will be your servant.” Matthew 23:11
Two way of serving worth considering on this early May day.
First, this is a big week with the Spring Rummage Sale preparation well underway. Teri Hubbard and her family have literally been doing most of the heavy lifting. (A BIG THANKS to the Hubbards!) As great as they are, they cannot do this alone. If you can help as a contributor, a sorter, a pricer, a shopper or as a clean-up crew member; you will have fun and will be helping to give people in our community some great bargains. You will also be helping the ECW raise money that is used to support many worthy causes.  You can contact Teri, the Church Office or me for more info.
Second, tomorrow is Give STL Day. I ask you to support the Strings Attached Project by going to https://givestlday.org/npo/strings-attached-projectst-stephens-episcopal-church and contributing. “Strings Attached project” (www.stringsattached.info) was created in 2009 and introduces Ferguson and St. Louis, MO youth to music education, music mentoring, guitar, ukulele & other stringed instrument studies, music notation reading skills and music history within the context of American Roots Music.  We all know how important music education is for kids.  Steve Housewright’s efforts have made this a truly remarkable program. Hundreds of young people have become musicians through the Project. Please show your support during the 24hours of Give STL Today.
Thank you for considering this and for all that you do in service as followers of Jesus,
Father Steve+
