May You Be Blessed

May is our last month before the big pageant, and my prayer for you all is that you experience each day as a blessing. The sun is shining more, things are in bloom (hopefully you don't have allergies to deter your enjoyment!) and you're probably feeling great from taking good care of yourself the past several months in preparation for the pageant. I hope you will all savor this time, and be filled with joy and excitement as June 11 draws near.

Hotel Reservations
TODAY (Monday, May 9th) is last day to make your hotel reservations within the Mrs. Ohio America block and room rate.

Even if you are thinking about staying, make your reservations today so you have a room just in case.

Swimsuits, Dresses, Sarongs, & Tees
Also, your swimsuits and opening dresses were mailed on Thursday last week. Sarongs and rehearsal tees will be given at Orientation.

Thursday, June 9 (Creekside Conference and Events Center in Gahanna)
5:00 PM Orientation and Meet former and current Mrs. Ohio - Community Project with Girl Scout and GRIN (Gahanna Residence In Need Organization)

Please wear jeans or leggings to go with the 'Brave" tank top that you will receive in your orientation packet. See Facebook for a picture of the tee.

Friday, June 10 (Creekside Conference and Events Center in Gahanna)
9:00 AM Individual Interviews Begin - Interview dress/suit
11:00 PM Rehearsals - causal cute
5:00 PM* Tentative Event - details to come
6:30 PM Creekside Live Music - Mrs. Ohio Tee with jeans or leggings (you will get this at orientation)

Saturday, June 11 (McCoy Center for the Arts Theater - New Albany)
9:00 AM Arrival & Set Up - Causal clothes all day
10:00 - 12:00 Opening Rehearsals
NOON Lunch
1:00 PM Tech Rehearsal
3:00 PM - Backstage Pass* Artists May Arrive at theater to Set up
4:00 PM Get Ready
6:30 PM Group Photo on theater front steps
6:45 PM Prayer
7:00 PM Show Time

*If you have someone coming to get you 'dolled up' and they do not have a Backstage Pass - you must leave the theater campus to get ready - you may not get ready in the theater lobby.

Remember--there is a prize for the titleholder who sells the most tickets! Just in time for summer, an incredible pair of Jimmy Choo sunglasses will go to the gal with highest number of tickets sold! Ticketmaster is struggling to track this data for me so I am not sure how to track these results this year.
