The Mil's Trills Early Childhood Music program is a five week course that meets twice per week. It is designed to help students develop a strong musical foundation through songs, games, stories and creative movement activities. Through a hands-on experience, students will explore families of instruments while building the following musical skills: Recognizing contrasting dynamics (e.g., loud/soft; high/low); echoing rhythmic patterns; identifying the musical scale; and singing in a group and individually. They will also develop their overall listening skills through activities, such as: Call and
response exercises and repetition of melodic phrases. Students will also get to make their own instruments!
Time: 10:30am - 11:15am (45 mins)
Suitable for children ages 3-5 years.

This workshop is designed to teach young students how to play the ukulele while developing a strong musical foundation through original songs, games, stories, and creative movement activities. Students will learn how to tune, strum, pluck, and even write their own songs.  Furthermore, students will develop musical skills: recognizing contrasting dynamics (e.g., loud/soft; high/low); responding to a variety of tempos and intonation; writing and responding to rhythmic patterns on the ukulele; singing/playing in a group and individually; and will build overall listening skills. Ukuleles required. 
Time: 3:30 - 4:15 pm (45 mins)
Suitable for children K-2nd grade

Write your very own full length album with yours truly! Students will work together to apply their creativity and music knowledge to build an original repertoire of compositions culminating in a recorded CD complete with artwork and lyric book. This class is ideal for singers or previous ukulele workshop-ers. 
Time: 4:30 - 5:30pm (1 hr)
Suitable for ages 5-11 years.
