Mars One Newsletter - Mars One reveals details about Third Astronaut Selection Round
Hi Mars One supporter,

We’re excited to share new information about the third astronaut selection round with you! This round consists of group challenges that will result in the reduction of candidates from 100 to 40. The challenges will test the candidates' ability to work in a team, problem-solving ability, and their communication skills. Candidates are eliminated based on their performance, and are reviewed by the Mars One selection committee.

Candidates will also play an active role in the group formation process for the first time! They will self-select into groups of 10 with the people they believe they can work well with. Groups will adhere to certain criteria, such as a gender ratio of 50/50, age diversity, and nationality diversity. Find more information in our latest press release!

Selection Round Three

Mars One recently hosted a private event in Amsterdam for advisers, ambassadors, investors, and other stakeholders. We would like to share some exciting videos from the evening about the third selection round with you: At this event, topics such as Mars One's progress so far, fundraising, and information about the third astronaut selection round were discussed.

Mission Technology

Why is Mars One feasible? Will Mars One experience any mission delays? These and other questions are addressed in our latest Mars Exchange article! Arno Wielders, Mars One's co-founder and CTO, discusses questions surrounding the technical aspects of Mars One's mission. In this article, he specifically addresses the required technology for Mars One's mission.
