The mojo is definitely strong. Available time, on the other hand, is fleeting, so I'm trying to make the best use of it. I'm adding things to my to-do list faster than I can finish what's already there. An age-old story, right?

WHAT'S UP

Gifted hexies, a mini of one of my favorite memories, a dose of improv, and a finished quilt. That kind of project-variety is what I thrive on!

WORTH A READ

ROUND-UP

When I began to consider featuring Greek Key quilts in this issue, I was surprised how few examples I could find to share. But something about them has fascinated me since I made my own Keychain, which was actually inspired by a chair at my local Starbucks. True story!
I was pleased to happen upon Dizzy by Tiffany/The Tiny Seamstress, and happily, she has a pattern available too. It's made with a jelly roll, and I love the mix of solids and prints.

Also by Tiffany is a second version - a baby quilt made with just one square with a few extra strips added. Genius.
And here's Elena/Quilts by Elena's fun and unique Modern Gray Selvage Quilt pattern

PB and J Charm Quilt by Cynthia/Ahhh...Quilting has quite a different layout than those above, yet still a classic one. A PB&J Quilt Pattern is also available.

ON TREND

The May is for Makers campaign was begun by Lindsey/
LRStitched as a way of supporting indie pattern designers, reminding them that 'while we all love something for free, we also value time and artistry and we are willing to give our support.' Check out Lindsey's post for all the details, as well as the Instagram hashtag
#mayisformakers.

P.S. Our community is known for it's generous support in times of need, and a current opportunity is making and sending Maple Leaf blocks to Ottawa Modern Quilt Guild for Quilts for Fort McMurray, a city in Alberta, Canada devastatingly affected by wildfire. Check out the #quiltsforfortmac hashtag on Instagram for more details.
