Geneva Photo Club
Join us at our traditional day-trip at Caves Ouvertes on May 28, to discover the delicious wines from the area with us. We will have a program to guide you through the best wineries and will have expert sommeliers from Wiine.Me who will explain you the wines as you try them. And of course our instructors will be there to help you with photography. This event will be free - we hope to meet many of you there.
You just need to confirm your attendance by filling this short form and be there:)
Challenge-winner

Apr photo challenge: Primary Colors
Winner: Cedric Favero

This month's challenge was a feast for our eyes - with so many amazing uses of primary colors & brightening up our screens. Great photo by Cedric - his photo of the stairs at Parking de L'étoile does not only such a dominant use of Yellow, but also a textbook application of the "golden ratio". Well done!
The theme of May is "Power of a Smile" - for this assignment, we want to feel the smile.  More info at our Facebook Group where you can vote existing submissions and submit your own photos.
Good Luck!

A great deal for all your photo prints from Images de Marques

As you know from our courses, the photo becomes a real photo only when printed. Any photo you leave in your hard disks will be unreadable as soon as one generation, with new formats and technologies.

So today we are proud to offer you a perfect solution for prints in Geneva that many of you have been asking. We have a new partnership with Images de Marques (one of the partners Laurent Egli - who teaches at Geneva Photo Club) to deliver you the highest quality prints with a special discount for Geneva Photo Club.

From now on, all Geneva Photo Club members get a special 15% discount on the following prints with the code: GPC2016

Inkjet prints on Fine Art Paper from 10 x 15 cm all the way to 1m10 tall.
Canvas Prints
Subligraphie HD prints on metal up to 1m20 x 80cm.

Weather it’s all your vacation pics or a big print for your living room, it’s time to let the pictures free from your computer and up on your walls! Just call them or send them an email for an offer: info@idmphoto.net
May 5 - Jun 6: Maud's Exhibition: INSIDE OUT
Maud Guye-Vuillème, our new trainer, has installed her exhibition in the Cité du Temps - It’s called “INSIDE OUT - Un autre regard sur les métiers”
It’s not only about pictures (although they look great) but it is a playful experience where you have to open boxes to discover the images & the scent associated to each trade… Discover more info about the concept here.
The exhibition is at the Cité du Temps from May 5th to June 12th 2016. Open every day from 9am to 6pm.

May 22: Free training on how to open a photo exhibition

One of our photographer members - Samuel Zeller - has been working hard to open his first solo photo exhibition, and he learned a lot in the process. He kindly agreed to organize a one hour workshop for Geneva Photo Club members to share his learnings and take your questions. Date: Sunday, 22 May, one session in english and another in French.
