Letter from Coach Miller about the Wild Performance Camps

Hello everyone,

I’d like to emphasize the importance of the May (21-22) and June (25-26) Wild Performance Camps.

These crucial activities benefit the players in many ways. WWFHA’s coaching staff tries to give players the most rest possible during the off-season, while providing sufficient training in spring and summer to continue growth and development such that we field competitive teams during the winter season.

As Olympian Lyndsey Fry mentioned this weekend, participation in other sports and activities is critical for cross training and mental health during the off-season. She also pointed out that periodic training opportunities provide crucial development for attaining hockey goals, especially if players do not get regular ice time during the off-season.

Whether a player trains to attain the next level of play or wants to improve her game at her current skill level, these camps will help her to (1) maintain hockey fitness during the off-season so she’s ready for her recreational team, (2) train for Beantown tryouts/tournament or other tournaments, (3) develop her game for the next level on a Rep team, or (4) prepare to advance to a new team.

I really hope as many players as possible sign up for these activities. The May camp perfectly aligns in timing in preparation for Beantown and other summer hockey activities. The camp features on-ice sessions with the WWFHA’s top coaches, and Engineered Sports will run the off-ice sessions for a very valuable experience.

I look forward to seeing you there and please sign up for the May Camp before this Sunday May 8th in order to receive the free camp t-shirt!
