Where is God's Perfection?

I saw this on the Internet today "Throughout Scripture God says to be perfect. He is the standard for perfection. Many try to seek perfectionism, but they fail miserably. We have all sinned. God has every right to throw everyone into hell for eternity and He should."  Can you imagine growing up with this belief? or Matthew 5:48 "So be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect."  

I believe this concept of perfection has been the cause of must pain and suffering. What is God's perfection all about?  I can tell you with certainty it is not about being flawless which the word perfection suggests.

Perfectionists can drive themselves and others crazy!  Striving for the illusive flawless project, response, or way of doing things.  Is this what the spiritual concept of perfectionism means?  No.
This Sunday I will share some stories of what perfection is really about and how we all can be that perfection..

Excellence vs. Perfection

Perfection is being right.  Excellence is being willing to be wrong.                       Perfection is fear.  Excellence is taking a risk                                                   Perfection is anger and frustration.     Excellence is powerful
Perfection is control.    Excellence is spontaneous                                                       Perfection is judgement.   Excellence is accepting
Perfection is taking.   Excellence is giving                                                         Perfection is doubt.    Excellence is confidence
Perfection is pressure.   Excellence is natural                                                     Perfection is the destination.    Excellence is the journey
