WHAT'S GROWIN' ON?

From now through September 30th, you can see the Powel Crosley, Jr. Community Exhibition: His Life. His Work. His Impact. By visiting six different sites in Manatee County, you can learn all about Mr. Crosley and his fascinating inventions and contributions to agriculture, modern day conveniences, radio and television, World War II, and even baseball! At the Ag Museum you will see our newest acquisition, the FarmOroad, and compare it to a tractor. And if you have your passport stamped at each of the participating sites, you will be entered to win a replica Crosley radio! Sites that are participating include the Ag Museum, Palmetto Historical Park, South Florida Museum, Manatee County Historical Records Library, Manatee Village Historical Park, and Manatee Central Library (6/1 - 8/31).We want to thank the primary sponsor of this exhibit, the Bradenton Area Convention & Visitors Bureau.

We hope to see you soon as you explore this unique collaborative exhibit!

Bring your children to visit the Ag Museum & they can participate in all of our Jr. Ag Spots. They can put together a floor puzzle, explore seeds with a magnifying glass, weigh themselves on a platform scale, and identify tools and their uses. Our fish tank is pretty cool, too! Make visiting us a learning experience for everyone.
We have lots of kid-friendly movies on all sorts of agricultural topics like bees, citrus farming, apple farming, pumpkins, dairy, and more! All you need to do is ask for a movie when you come in. And if you're an adult flying solo without the kids, we've got the History of Agriculture in Manatee County on film and movies on Cracker horses and cows.
Join us for Family Field Trip Fridays, each Friday this summer at 10:00 AM. Adults and kids alike will enjoy learning about the history of the Palmetto Historical Park & Ag Museum plus take part in all the fun "extras" like picking up mail, planting, identifying "what is it?" items, writing on old-fashioned chalkboards, etc. Just show up at 10:00!
