ACRL/NY invites you to a group on-site viewing of the ACRL Live e-Learning Webcast
“Accessibility in Action”

Note: This is an invitation for an ON-SITE GROUP VIEWING of the webcast. You need to be on-site at one of the locations below to be able to view the webcast.
Recent Office of Civil Rights settlements involving higher education are prompting institutions to reexamine electronic and information technology accessibility. In this webcast, the presenters will review the impacts of these settlements and changes in the law; how to ensure libraries instructional content is accessible; review Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and its role in accessibility; and Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs) and how library vendors are demonstrating their products meet key requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. The presenters will also provide attendees with a list of related resources to utilize at their institutions.
Learning Outcomes

- Using popular file formats, make instructional content accessible.
- Learn what Universal Design for Learning is and its role in accessibility.
