Planning and Vision Day

We had an afternoon of planning and looking at our vision for MCC Brighton.

The picture above shows the fruits of our musings, discussions and reviewing of where we are and where we want to be.

It was an incredible afternoon and all those attending spoke their minds and held nothing back. It was really encouraging that we couldn't think of much that we wanted to stop, which means we are doing what we set out to do following our period of discernment. There were some great ideas for things we might start and we looked at the steps we need to make to achieve our goals.

The afternoon was facilitated by Sarah-Jane Ramage and she kept us on track and on point when we started to digress.

The afternoon ended with a very nice meal and some more genral conversation and there was a real feeling of fellowship, togetherness and commitment to the future of MCC Brighton and it's mission in Brighton and Hove.

The pages which record our discussions were put up in Church during Sunday's worship and will be available to be viewed in coming weeks.

What's on this week

Tuesday/ Wednesday/Thursday - Church office hours are 10-2 at 88 London Road (formerly The Emporium).

Thursday - Bible Cafe at 88 LondonRoad at 7pm. A lively discussion group, where questions are asked, ideas explored and every one is heard.

Friday - Come and help out at Lunch Positive from 1-4pm at Dorset Gardens Methodist Church. It is fun, good food and you get to meet some great people.

Sunday - Worship at 6pm in The Brighthelm Centre.

The Brighthelm Centre is on North Road, Brighton.

Further afield

During the late bank holiday weekend in May a number of us are going to Big Church Day Out at Wiston House. It is not too late for you to join us, for a day or for the weekend. Let us know if you are going and we can arrange a meet up.

11th June starting at 3pm is our next Spiritual Spa experience, again at Andrew and SJ's house in Newhaven. This will run until approx 6pm when there will be a meal together, however, there is no official chucking out time.
