Festival of Museums on The Tall Ship
Piano on Board ( Sat 14th & Sun 15th May )

We will have a piano on board the Glenlee for the 1st time, though hopefully not the last. High noon on Sat ~ Alan Kenny at the keys, joined on Sun ( at 12pm - ish ) by Helen Minnis & Jack Heavenor. The prospect of these three getting together is well worth a visit.
There will be more musicians from RCoS there on Sat at 2pm and in between the players you can play our piano too as it has a few days shore leave from it's usual installation in the Project Cafe.

Click here ~ for a taste of their sweet sound.

Thur June 9th 10am ~ 5pm       BOOK HERE
This will be our 2nd visit to MQC during the West End Festival after 2 successful LOD's in 2015. Once again you will have the chance to play their Steinway Grand Piano and unique Broadwood upright, in one of the most beautiful architectural spaces in the city. Book your 15 min slot on the GPC website here and watch out for news of our first LOD during the Merchant City Festival on Aug 6th. This is still to be confirmed, though it looks like we will be back on stage in the Grand Hall, the City Halls where this event was born.
Gibson Street Gala
Sunday June 19th . . . West End Festival
We will have a piano back at the Gibson St Gala for the 3rd year in a row . . . location is weather dependent ~ we will post news soon.
Piano Locations
'Paddy' at Cafe GRO  15 St Margaret's Place, G1 5YJ
Take a wander to the old site of Paddy's market near the bottom of the Saltmarket and you will find our latest & most dinky installation.
The donation of a ships piano from Alison McGillivray can now be found in Cafe GRO ( Glasgow Recovery Organisation ) waiting for you to play a wee tune ~ while you wait for your muffin to arrive. Click on the pic of Charlie's air piano moment to visit their website.
Piano Donations
Word is spreading beyond the city limits about our 'matchnaking' and this week we were offered a Challen Baby Grand Piano in Broxburn ( near Uphall ) and an old Challen upright in Edinburgh that would suit a beginner. The owner of this piano is also willing to pay removal costs ! It seems worth casting our net wider for installation venues & willing recipients of our donated pianos. Anyone out there with an interest . . . please get in touch ASAP.
Other News
This is definitely a time of transition for our project as we welcome new members to our board while reflecting on our activities during the last 3 years. Like many projects we were unsuccessful with a recent funding application and we find ourselves sensing how to move forward, become more sustainable & stimulate new growth. It seems that when life offers you a breather . . . it is always worth listening to that invitation. We will roll on, responding to requests for our pianos at events such as the Health & Social Care Alliance annual conference ' 2 million expert voices ' on Monday May 23rd. We are also happy to now be members of SENSCOT as we also move a step or 2 closer to being a fully fledged social enterprise. More to follow on this . . . enough for now.
