Judging at the National TSA Conference

National TSA is currently recruiting individuals to judge at the National TSA Conference at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, TN June 28–July 2. Please help recruit judges by sending this form to colleagues, industry partners, and friends.

National TSA Conference First Place Reimbursements

All students who placed first in an event at the Tennessee TSA State Leadership Conference are eligible to receive reimbursement for their conference registration fees. 

Reimbursement forms must be submitted for each student by June 13 in order to be eligible. Reimbursements will be made after the 2015-16 National TSA Conference.

Purchasing Additional State Pins

If your school is interested in purchasing additional 2016 Tennessee TSA State Conference lapel pins for trade at the upcoming national conference, please complete this form. All pin orders must be submitted by May 25 by 5 p.m.

Note: An order for additional pins will only be placed if the total number of pins requested by chapter advisors meets the minimum order criteria. 

2016 National TSA Conference

Start making plans now to attend the 2016 National TSA Conference in Nashville, TN at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. The conference will take place from June 28–July 2, 2016. The conference theme is "Building a Legacy."

Advisors, please visit the conference website for links to important information, including pre-conference information, deadlines, competitive events schedules, and hotel information. 

Registration
Deadline to register: June 3
  • Online registration is now open.
  • Onsite registration will be available for guests and small children (at a higher rate), but no additions or changes for student competitors will be accepted following the close of the registration system on June 3. 
  • Everyone who attends the National TSA Conference must register, including parents, children, and any other guests.
  • Throughout the conference, volunteer hosts will be checking name badges of all attendees at the entrance to the general sessions, competitive events, and other activities. There will be no admittance to any event without a name badge, including the award ceremony on July 2. 
  • The TSA, Inc. Board of Directors requires a minimum of one adult advisor or chaperone for no more than 10 students. 
Registration Fees:
Advisor: $100
Student: $100
Alumni: $45
Guest: $45
Child: $25

**"Guest" includes non-TSA members (non-teacher/non-chaperone). Parents serving as advisors must pay the full advisor fee, not the guest fee.

***"Child" includes non-TSA members under the age of 10 accompanied by a registered parent. Children over the age of 10 who are not competing or participating as a TSA chapter member must pay the guest fee.

Refunds 
National TSA Conference registration refunds are granted only to those who provide a written refund request received by the national office on or before May 31. The fee for cancellation is 50% of registration. All refund payments are mailed after the conference and the 50% cancellation fee is deducted accordingly. TSA policy prohibits any exceptions.

Notice of Proposed Bylaw Amendment

On behalf of the TSA, Inc. Board of Directors, please know that the attached proposed bylaw amendment submitted by Missouri TSA has been approved by the board to be placed before the voting delegates for action at the annual TSA business meeting on July 1, 2016 in Nashville, TN. Please share the proposed bylaw amendment with your state delegation officers. Chapter advisors are being made aware of this as well.

2016 Institute for CTE Educators: Registration Open

Registration is now open for the 2016 Institute for CTE Educators. Our theme for this year’s Institute is “College & Career Roadmap: Developing the Ready Student.” Sessions will focus on the student experience in the classroom and will assist teachers by providing tools they can use in preparing their students for postsecondary and career opportunities. 

Just as in years past, the institute will officially begin on Tuesday, July 12; however, there are specific sessions on Monday, July 11, for CTE directors, as well as content-specific training for teachers.
 
Participants can reserve their hotel by selecting the “hotel” tab on the registration page. Book early because hotel blocks will sell out fast!
