 BETHSAIDA, also known as “K.K.”, is youngest of three siblings who came to us together in November of 2014. This sweet girl has a rambunctious and bold personality, loves to giggle, and has a gift for making the silliest of faces. She loves people and school, and though silly, has a soft and sensitive heart. We are so thankful for her infectious joy! Our prayer is that her joy is shared with all who know her, that her heart remains soft but also strong, and that she continues to grow in her identity knowing that she belongs in the Child Hope family, and more importantly in the family of God.

Young Moms Group
Our Guesthouse manager, Francesca, had a desire to start a group for young moms in our community who are pregnant or have young children. About a month ago, she invited them to begin coming to our community center once a week to meet and provide support for each other. Their meetings have been focusing on prayer and emotional and educational support. Sometimes Francesca will prepare a small lesson or topic to discuss, and other times they will just pray and sing and talk about life.
The young women in the group have expressed how much they appreciate having a safe place to come and worship together, as many of them do not feel loved and accepted in their own churches. We are excited to see how this ministry will grow and develop! Please pray for Francesca as she leads, and for the women to experience the love of Jesus through this group. Meet Our Staff: Louis
Our staff members play an integral role in the lives of our children as their closest examples of godly men, women, and families. We consider our staff a part of the family, and we wanted you all to get to know them a little better too! First up, one of our boys' home caretakers, Louis.
 Louis has lived in the Delmas neighborhood for his entire life. He first met our directors, Noel and Lori Tugwell, at Quisqueya Chapel, where they were both attending church. Louis has completed some seminary, and plans to finish school in the future. His role at our boys’ home is to watch over the boys, help them with their homework, and pour into their lives as an “older brother” figure. Louis also helps by teaching at our feeding program, and in many other ways around the ministry! We are thankful for his cheerful spirit and hardworking demeanor.

Bathing Suits Needed!
Summer is just around the corner, and our kiddos are in need of some new bathing suits for those pool and beach days coming up! We will be collecting new bathing suits for them until July 1st. Items can be shipped to our stateside office at 1225 Coast Village Road, Suite C, Santa Barbara, CA 93108.
