View this email in your browser UPDATE 11: NBPU TIS National Tackling Indigenous Smoking Workshop The Tackling Indigenous Smoking (TIS) National Workshop was well represented by around 90 TIS funded organisations and key stakeholders to the TIS program.  The national workshop was held in the beautiful city of Adelaide on 11 & 12 May at the Tandanya Cultural Centre.   Over the two days, participants heard from a variety of speakers plus workshopped ideas for Action Plans, capturing evidence and received an insight into how to navigate through the TIS portal, once up and running.    The workshop was also a great opportunity to connect with other organisations to share concerns and ideas plus promotional materials within their State/Territory or across border.   The NBPU TIS would like to thank everyone for their contribution to the National Workshop which made it such a great success.  We now look forward to State/Territory workshops.   State and Territory Workshops State and Territory Workshops are planned throughout the year and NBPU TIS will be in contact with Organisations in each State and Territory to determine the agenda for you and your service plus determine an appropriate venue. It is intended to encourage a 24-hour period of abstinence from all forms of tobacco consumption around the globe.
