Important information for Open PHACTS API users

Dear <<First Name>>,

We'd like to inform you of some important changes to the Open PHACTS API.

API 2.1 release

Version 2.1 of our API is now live, including access to SureChEMBL patent data for the first time and updated pathways data. We have developed a series of new API calls around this data, allowing you to query linked data about compounds, diseases and genes extracted from Sure ChEMBL, related patents, and other Open PHACTS data sets.

Details of these new data and API calls can be found in the API 2.1 release notes.

Version-independent URLs

We have recently introduced a version-independent URL to connect to the Open PHACTS API. From now on, making an API call to a URL of the form api.openphacts.org/latest/[...] will forward your API call to the latest public instance of that call.

Decommissioning API version 1.5

We will be retiring version 1.5 of the API by the end of June 2016. We therefore encourage users to update to our version-independent URLs as soon as possible. If you have any questions about upgrading please let us know and we'll be happy to help.

You can find further help and support on our Support Portal and Forums.

As always, if you have any other queries please contact us at any time.

Kind regards,

Nick Lynch
