Berlin/Paris/Edinburgh/Kidderminster

After such an exciting month of March with my two beautiful concerts in Morocco and Switzerland , April really managed to keep up with the adrenaline!

6 years , a first class honours Bachelor and soon a Masters degree made me realise that Scotland was academically milked enough and its time to move on !

I quickly thought that Berlin has the gravitas and the latest updates in my world of arts and it clearly should be my next playground.

So april began with a succesful 3 day trip there for a kind of "audition oriented private lesson" with the famous pianist Pascal Devoyon, teacher in the "Universitat der Kunst" , to see if he can get along domestically with my playing so I could join his class and if our pianistic collision could be a productive one I could benefit musically and enroll perhaps for a 2nd Masters there .
Mission accomplished !
Audition end of June .

Coming back from Germany I went to Paris for one week of piano mania with 3 ivoryc events and one very special encounter too with one of "THE" pianists of today , Betrand Chamayou, where I was brave enough to play some Ravel to him , after he just launched his latest disc consisting of all the solo works written by this mesmerizing composer.
The concerts started first with an appearance in the prestigious "Salle Cortot" in that incredible acoustic , followed by a little concert for some of the students of the Ecole Normale de Musique of Paris and last but clearly not least, a concert in the beautiful "Atelier+" of a real gem of a pianist and also beautiful person Jaqueline Bourgeois Manoury ,the perfect cadence for this gladiating sejour.

The following morning of my arrival back to Glasgow I was already on the train to Edinburgh for a charming lunchtime concert in the famous piano series held in the "Brunton Theatre"

The month concluded with another very special concert in the beautiful old townhall of Kidderminster in England with a really warmhearted&lovely audience and a ferocious repertoire!

The treat this month comes from the "Salle Cortot" with my 1st encore of the famous
CSARDAS  arr. I.A.Trofin after Monti
