"Ars Longa, Vita Brevis"
Rev. Nancy McDonald Ladd
The latin phrase translates to "Art is long, life is short." Today we'll examine the idea that our most enduring legacy is the art we leave behind us.
Rev. Nancy McDonald Ladd serves as Senior Minister of River Road Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Bethesda Maryland. Prior to that, she served congregations in Virgina and Illinois and graduated from Meadvillle Lombard Theological School. She also serves as the chair of Action in Montgomery, a broad based community organization in suburban Montgomery county and lives in Bethesda with her husband Jonathan and two small children, Ruth and Josiah.

From the Peace and Justice Ministry
Another order has arrived! Please stop by our table to buy your Fair Trade Chocolate from the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC), our denomination's service organization. The chocolate is delicious and is made from cacao only from small farmer co-ops. Fair trade chocolate makes a great Graduation gift. Please stop by the UUSC table during coffee hour to learn more about how you can become a member of UUSC. If you are already a member, please stop by and check your status so your membership does not lapse. An updated list will be published after the membership drive ends on June 30, 2016. Membership is a way to live our UU values in our country and in the world.
