Christchurch has been named in the March 2016 issue of Smart Meetings magazine as one of its Top 10 International Destinations. The San Francisco-based publication called Christchurch “Safe, stylish and legendary for scenery”. We think that sums us up nicely!

Cereal scientists pick Christchurch

Christchurch has won the right to host the 16th World Cereal and Bread Congress in 2020. The event is expected to bring more than 600 international delegates to the city.
The Congress is set to follow the 67th Australasian Grain Association Conference, another great result for Christchurch with up to 200 delegates, mostly from Australia, coming in September 2017.

FIG working week main session

Surveying Christchurch

Christchurch is proving a fertile learning ground for land and building professionals who are choosing to conference here. More than 1200 surveyors from all over the world met in the city earlier this month for a five day working conference hosted by the New Zealand Institute of Surveyors.

The FIG working week brought together the international community of surveying and spatial professionals to share innovative science with policymakers and stakeholders, at adjoining venues Horncastle Arena and Addington Raceway and a gala dinner at the Air Force Museum of New Zealand.

In 2012, we promised the organisers our city would deliver a great event and four years later we have. Later this month Christchurch is hosting more than 450 delegates for five days to the Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors Congress, another big vote of confidence in our city.
