The Similkameen Valley...

is a rising star in the British Columbia Wine Industry.
With it's rugged terrain and stony slopes this valley is able to keep the grapes warm throughout the early hours of the evening, resulting in the ability to ripen those long hot day grapes.
We would like to announce that this Friday, we will be hosting one of the wineries from the Similkameen Valley and just announced a feature Library Tasting with this amazing Proprietor of this series...Tim Cottrill of Robin Ridge Winery.
For his Library Series tasting, Tim is pouring his brand new beautiful 2012 Meritage which is not even released yet! You will also experience something that no one has ever done before...Tim has won Platinum Awards for his Gamay Noir and you will get to experience 3 vertical vintages of this wine in our Library Tasting this Friday from 5:30 -7pm as you dine on locally sourced Farm to Table Charcuterie and get up close and personal with this intimate tasting.

Saturday we announce the one and only Michael Bartier of Bartier Bros Winery.
Michael is like no other and he won't disappoint as he knows the Terroir of the Okanagan Valley better than anyone.
Michael will guide you through...this is crazy...a vertical 5 year tasting of his Semillion and then the one and only...5 year vertical tasting of his flagship Bordeaux Blend...The Goal! You will be tasting a wine that is still 18 months until released!

Tickets are each $39 and include all of this, charcuterie and a glass of wine after.

Experience our Library...experience up close and personal...
604-824-0042

Can't make the Library experience...join Tim and Michael from 3-6pm at our beautiful 18 ft tasting bar as they pour their great wines and new vintages!
Cheers,

Bartier Bros. 2013 Cabernet Franc $30.43 + taxes
STAFF FAVOURITE

Winemaker Michael Bartier spends a lot of time trying keep his fingerprints off his wine. He's a site guy and his wine plan is to let the dirt do the talking and this first release cabernet franc is a perfect example. The fruit comes of the Black Sage Middle Bench and projects the refined, cool elements of cabernet franc. It juicy with some mineral floral notes in support and soft silky tannins. Unpretentious and mostly ready to drink. Try it with grilled chicken. 88pts- Anthony Gismondi

Bartier Bros. 2013 Merlot $25.21 + taxes

This is a big wine in every way. Intense, concentrated aromas of blackberries, cherries, and toffee. The wine is very full bodied with aggressive tannins. Mixed grill or steak of any type will pair well with this wine. On the lower side of Black Sage Road between Oliver and Osoyoos, this vineyard has a gentle West facing slope. The soils are a heavy, slightly sandy loam with calcium carbonate covered granite cobbles throughout a deep profile. With the rough surface of the calcium carbonate, vine roots seek out these rocks for the small amount of water to be found on this surface. It is controversial to say that these vines are “feeding” off these minerals, but that’s exactly what we believe is happening and it shows in the wines.
