Millennium Film's project Hitman's Bodyguard , starring Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson and Salma Hayek, will soon be shooting in Bulgaria.
Nu Boyana Studios are prepping for the exciting production, directed by
The Expendables III helmer Patrick Hughes. Experienced Bulgarian crews will secure the filming process.
Barbarians Rising Behind-the-Scenes-HD
Barbarians Rising is the new docudrama to premiere soon on History Channel. The story is about the rise and fall of the Roman Empire and it's told from the Barbarians' point of view. The Behind-the-scenes footage shows the authentic ancient atmosphere created at Nu Boyana Film Studios for the project.
PLEBS / 60" TRAILER
The popular British comedy Plebs comes to life at the Roman set in our studios where the three main characters Marcus, Stylax and Grumio try their best to climb the social ladder and score some girls in the ancient city. Plebs delivers really good laughs and has already accumulated a devoted fan base. We are proud that Plebs' three seasons in a row were filmed in Bulgaria.
  • It's a wrap for the Bulgarian TV Series Stolen Life. The medical drama was shot at Nu Boyana. A special hospital set was constructed at the studio for the filming. The prime-time project is produced by our friends from Dream Team Films for Nova TV.
NEW-YORK STREET FOOD - Pompier 30sec
NY Street Food - The Fireman directed by Ben Gregor was filmed at the New York set of Nu Boyana. The McDonald's commercial shot at the studio was produced by Moonwalk films and our friends from Filmmaker.BG.

SERVICES
Our in-house company B2Y worked on the production and post production of the new music video of DJ Moti ft. Nabiha for client Virgin Records. The video was directed by the team of Cry/Wolf.
  • ARRI SkyPanel LED soft light is the newest addition to the Nu Boyana Lighting Department. It's compact size and high quality soft lights come in two sizes - S30 and S60. A wide range of accessories is available for our clients.
Nobody Wants The Night - Making of
See how Nu Boyana Film Studios sound stages turned into beautiful snowy sets for the filming of the Spain-France-Bulgaria co-production Nobody Wants the Night. Take a look Behind-the-scenes of the project, starring Juliette Binoche and Gabriel Byrne. An exclusive screening for Bulgaria happened on May 11 in Sofia. 
  • A special hospital set was constructed at Nu Boyana for the filming of the new Bulgarian TV series Stolen Life. The project is produced by our partners from Dream Team Films for Nova TV.

COMMUNITY
Nu Boyana CEO Yariv Lerner shares some of the goals set for the studio for the year ahead:
 " We are actively seeking talented directors and want to make movies that count. The Nu Boyana Film School will continue to discover and educate moviemakers. Our in-house production company B2Y is how we wish to expand in the commercial market. Last but not least - a water tank is constructed at the studio for underwater shooting."
Filmmakers from our B2Y Productions team in action shooting a special video Sofia - digital capital of the new markets at the Webit Festival Europe 2016. 
Students from The Screenwriters Master Class 2016 have successfully graduated the 8-week course of Nu Boyana Film School. Mentored by Golan Ramraz the students were able to each write a feature film script. One of the scripts will be selected by industry professionals and turned into a movie.
