THANKS FOR VOLUNTEERS
We welcomed four new office staff to the roster: Ann Twiggs, Mary MacGregor, Kathryne and Lliam McKissock. Five of us showed up to begin the Spring Cleaning gig - Karen Womack is the carpet cleaning 'angel' who persists in improving our HQ floors, she, Nancy Glowacki and Mary MacGregor did interior windows and vacuuming air conditioners. Sissy Owen and Mary also cleaned up our front gardens and have plans to continue beautifying. Phil Bostrum did fence repairs and lots of pruning as Nancy cleaned up bricks and raked. MORE WORK TO COME - let Nancy know if you want to pitch in! 606-5201.
Isabel Cutler continues to create and laminate new signs for our window advertising. Alliyah Hoffman, our high school intern, did a complete Excel inventory of all HQ equipment. And there are more - so many behind the scenes workers who do the hands-on work to present an inviting environment!
Kudos to Tony Womack for coming forward to volunteer his mowing services to HQ! This act of generosity will save us several hundred dollars a year and we are already reaping the excellence of his work.
SEEKING VOLUNTEER MUSICIANS: We're considering a Summer Porch Saturday Jam, a chance to sit around and share music and sing, drink coffee, talk. If you like playing in "circle jams" where people take turns around the circle, please call or email Nancy to talk more. 606-5201
VOLUNTEERS CONTINUE TO SPRING CLEAN OUR HQ - Coming soon, power wash the building gutters, wash the outside windows, finish painting the porch, and clean up all the fallen tree debris around the edges. To help form a list of volunteers, please call Nancy at 606-5201 We’ll be decorating the front for Memorial Day and onward, planting more flowers, et cetera.
