May is National Mental Health Month, so here's our very first newsletter: Boody is Self-Love. Mental health, and a more holistic sense of wellness, depends both on a healthy body and a healthy mind. This month we’re talking about the ways that our individual practice and our collective awareness inform our thinking about mental health and its ties to general wellness.
Why title a newsletter Self-Love, and then write about mental health? Because loving yourself is about the everyday intentional steps you take for self-care. Going for a run, eating a balanced meal, going to therapy, getting a good night’s sleep - these are all acts of self-love. We spend so much time talking about our bodies, it’s easy to let our minds fall by the wayside. So, this month: take 10 for yourself everyday; be comfortable with who you are and where you’re at; seek positive dialogue about mental health; remind someone that you love them.
