PROP Q FOR QUALITY OF LIFE
City of St. Peters voters will decide on Aug. 2 whether to approve Proposition Q. This ballot issue proposes NO tax increase. The “Q” stands for “Quality of Life” because, if passed, the $12 million bond issue would provide funding for two major quality of life projects:
1)
Outdoor Aquatic Center—this would be “a community center without walls” with activities for all ages.
2)
St. Peters Golf Course Clubhouse and New Banquet/Community Center—includes new banquet/meeting facilities with 350 seats plus extra outdoor event space.

ROAD PROJECTS UNDERWAY
Construction season is in full swing—please be on alert for street crews as they work to maintain our roads. The City of St. Peters continues work on its annual Pavement Management Program to repair roads in our neighborhoods. Some major improvement projects also are underway.
Sutters Mill Road is closed to vehicles and pedestrians between Spencer Crossing and Plum Tree Drive to allow for replacement of the Sutters Mill Road bridge and its cover. CLICK HERE for more details.
Work also continues at the intersection of Mexico and Jungermann Roads to add turning lanes and help improve safety and reduce congestion. Please drive carefully through the work zone and watch out for lane closures.

POLICE ANNUAL REPORT ONLINE
Did you know that the St. Peters Police Department posts its annual report with our community’s crime numbers online so that you can easily view it? Just visit www.stpetersmo.net/police.
As usual, the City of St. Peters enjoys a low crime rate. But, there’s something we can all do to make those numbers go down even more. We saw an increase in “larceny” for the first time in St. Peters since 2008. Larceny is the unlawful taking, carrying, leading or riding away of property from the possession of another. A lot of times larceny is a crime of opportunity. The St. Peters Police Department continues to encourage everyone to close garage doors and lock vehicles any time you are not present—don’t provide an opportunity for thieves to walk away with your property. Even if you’re at home, somebody can steal from your garage or car if you’re not watching.
