God of all beginnings and endings,
We praise and thank You
for the gift of this school year.
It has been a time filled with
grace and blessings,
With challenges and opportunities,
joys and sorrows.
We pray especially for the Class of 2016
as they move on to their next adventure.
We ask for mercy,
compassion and love.

Amen.

Senior High
Senior Parents
Registration has been extended for the Senior Party, which immediately follows Commencement Friday, June 3. Cost is $130/student. If cost prohibits your senior from attending, please contact Assistant Principal Mary Andersen for assistance. Please note: this is not a bill-to-tuition event. If your senior thinks he or she has registered, please check to make sure they filled in credit card information during registration, otherwise the registration would not have been processed.

A few more senior parents are needed to volunteer at this event; we cannot host this event without your support. Click here to volunteer. Shifts last just a few hours, and volunteering offers you a fun opportunity to share in your new graduate’s joy!

Final Exams - Senior High
The final exam schedule for the senior high is listed below. Please note that students are required to take their final exam on the day and time that is scheduled. Exceptions, which must be pre-approved, are made for reasons such as a funeral, school sponsored event or a physician's recommendation. Students are encouraged to take advantage of office hours to meet with teachers to review for final exams. Buses will run at the regular school day times June 8 and June 9. On June 10, buses will leave right after the last final exam.

Adoration During Finals
Do you have 30 minutes to support our students? A true blessing of being part of a Catholic, faith based school is the opportunity to pray for our students, faculty and staff in our school chapel. During the upcoming final exams Wednesday, June 6 through Friday, June 8, the Blessed Eucharist will be on display in the chapel. All parents are invited and encouraged to sign up for half hour increments to pray during final exams. This is a wonderful tradition at BSM. Please sign up on the Sign Up Genius link here.

Students Who Took AP Exams

Here is the process for ensuring that you get your AP scores online in July:
  1. Keep your 2016 AP Student Pack after your last AP test – this contains your AP number
  2. Go to apscore.org
  3. Follow prompts to create an account (you may already have an account if taken SAT or subject tests)
  4. Write down your username, password and your 2016 AP Number and keep these in a safe place
  5. If you’ve followed these steps, you will receive emails telling you how to access your score(s) once they are available in July.
ACT Now Offered in September
The BSM Guidance Department decided to change the fall date that they offer the ACT at BSM from the October date to September because of the higher number of BSM students that have been taking the ACT in September and because of the increasing number of BSM students who are applying to college with November 1 deadlines. This fall, the September ACT date will be September 10, 2016. Students will be able to register for the 2016-2017 ACT and SAT test dates on their respective websites in mid-summer.

Junior Students and Parents
  1. Please remember to check your BSM email throughout the summer. The counselors will be sending several important emails to you and your parents regarding the college application process.
  2. Juniors will receive their graded college portfolios back at the end of May. Please do not lose these! Use them as a resource when filling out your college applications. Also, make sure to save your English essays from this year – you may be able to use some of them when applying to colleges.
Magna Test Prep
Magna Test Prep will be offering a discounted five-session class to BSM students in preparation for the September 10 ACT. The group classes will be held at BSM 7/19, 8/2, 8/16, 8/23 and 9/3 all 1-5 p.m. In addition, students will have four one-on-one tutoring sessions. The course is discounted for BSM students at $1,200 but is discounted even more at $900 for BSM students if they register by June 1. Click here for more information and to register.
