Greetings - This spring has been packed with big events as we raise funds for the renovation and get ready to vacate the Caffe for summer construction. Last Saturday's Anniversary Concert was the last of three big occasions, and it was a glorious finish. The first weekend in June will be our last at 47 Phila Street until we re-open, fully renovated, in October. But we will not leave you folk-less this summer! Come see us in our beautiful summer home at The Grove, 233 Lake Ave. We'll have on-site parking, dinner & desserts, wine & beer, and a very pretty room for a full slate of concerts from June through August. June is on sale now. July will be by the end of the week.

If you were in the audience at Tom Chapin's last concert a few weeks back, you'll recall that he encouraged you to come hear his daughters make their Caffe debut. It's tonight! Their last album featured their crystalline sibling harmonies on a collection of Everly Brothers songs. It debuted at #2 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart, #2 on Amazons Folk chart, #14 on Billboards Heatseekers, and was featured on NPR's Weekend Edition with Scott Simon. You'll understand what all the fuss is about when you meet them tonight. Advance tickets are on sale until 5 PM, and at the door starting at 6:30 PM.

For the holiday weekend we offer two nights of 518 artists. Ashley Sofia, the Adirondack solo folk-rocker who moved to Nashville a few months ago, returns for a homecoming show on Friday night. She's excited to reconnect with her local fans and share some of the new songs she's been working on. And on Saturday we welcome back one of the Capital Region's original Americana bands, Red Haired Strangers. This is a five-piece with all the right stuff: pedal steel, drums, acoustic guitars, fiddle, harmonica, and a happy attitude. We'll be closed on Sunday night.
