These funds will help us provide services tosexually abused, physically abused and neglected children in Montgomery County.
New Laws Recently Approved by Governor Hogan:
House Bill 0245- Requires that professionals who knowingly fail to report child abuse or neglect be reported to their specified board, agency, institution, or facility.
House Bill 0400- Expands opportunities for foster children and unaccompanied homeless youth to get tuition waivers for technical or vocational training.
Senate Bill 0031- Requires local social services departments to expunge reports of suspected abuse or neglect within 2 years if the report is ruled out and no further reports are received during that period. Previously, these reports were only saved for 60 days. Departments may immediately expunge specified reports under specified circumstances.
Our donors are thoughtful, selfless
and creative!
This month you have brought in many of the items we've requested, such as stress balls, magnetic doodle pads, and arts/crafts supplies.
You have asked that, in lieu of birthday presents, donations be made to The Tree House.
And several of you small business owners are creating sales promotions to benefit
The Tree House. More on those soon...
You truly are the best!
