Steve Huntingdale to coach 16 Blue for 2016-17!
We are delighted to announce another update to our coaching staff for the upcoming club season! Longtime FRVBC coach Steve Huntingdale will be the Head Coach of 16-1 Blue for the 2016-2017 season. You’ve probably seen Steve around the FRVBC gym – for the past two years he has worked as a consultant to the middle school teams and coaches at Front Range, and prior to that he was the Head Coach of 18 Gold for the 2013-2014 season.
Steve’s tenure at Front Range dates back to 1995; he has coached periodically at FRVBC since that time in both the middle school and high school age groups. Steve experienced tremendous success at the national level of junior volleyball, coaching his teams to a Bronze Medal finish in 14 Open at the 2004 Junior Olympic Championships, and a Silver Medal finish in 15 Club at the 2005 Junior Olympic Championships (now known as the JNC’s). Steve won a Gold Medal in 13 Open at the 2003 Crossroads National Qualifier, and another Gold Medal in 2004 in 14 Open at the Crossroads National Qualifier. In addition to his success on the national scene, Steve’s teams won multiple RMR Championships locally during his time as a FRVBC coach.
Steve also has experience coaching at the high school level; in 2001 and 2002 he coached Smoky Hill High School’s Varsity team to back-to-back 5A State Championships in Colorado. In recent years he has coached the Junior Varsity team at Highlands Ranch High School.
Steve works full-time as a high school History teacher at Highlands Ranch High School. He enjoys mountain biking, fly fishing, and hiking in his spare time.
We are very excited to have Steve back to coach another Front Range team next season! Be sure to say hi to Steve when you see him in the FRVBC gym this fall!
Our Rockin’ Rio Olympic Themed End-of-the Year Awards Banquet will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2016 from 5pm-8pm and located at the Lone Tree Golf Club & Hotel (9808 Sunningdale Blvd. Lone Tree, CO 80124.)
We use this event to honor accomplishments made over the course of the year and to celebrate our season as a club. Dress is Formal.
Dinner will be served and guests will have a choice between stuffed pork loin medallions or vegetable wellington as their entrée. Admission is free for our FRVBC players. Parents and Siblings will be charged $30 at the door to attend.
Your Team Reps are sending out the attached invitation to your teams as well as collecting RSVPs and a meal count for your team.

Saturday 21st May at 1.00 PM will see the unveiling of the Front Range Volleyball Club Walls of Fame! Many FRVBC Alumna and their guests will be returning to Front Range for the ceremony, enjoy some refreshments and maybe play a set or two in the facility! Categories include all scholarship athletes since 2000, National and International players along with the coach and player recipients of the FRVBC Commitment to Excellence Award.

Permission from your Principal need to be sought in cases where HS athletes are seeking to practice or compete with other teams during the HS volleyball season.
