Cx5 Sculptable Filament:

Coming this month to Kickstarter

Cx5 Sculptable Filament is the world's first 3D printing filament that you can sculpt. That means you can print your piece in Cx5, then take it off the bed and begin sculpting on it right away. Clean up your print, smooth it to a perfect finish, add detail, and even continue sculpting, as though you had started the piece by hand.

Check out our interview with Tested, and our blog post about the announcement at this year's Monsterplaooza!

We can't wait to launch the Kickstarter and start bring Cx5 Sculptable Filament to all of you artists.

Cheers,

Q & A of the Day

Q: Can I use Cx5 Sculptable Filament in any 3D printer?

A: Yes! You will be able to use Cx5 Sculptable Filament in any FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) printer that has variable temperature control. Cx5 prints at a lower temperature than PLA, so as long as your printer head temperature can be turned down, you can print in Cx5. The Kickstarter Cx5 Sculptable Filament will initially be offered in 1.75mm diameter, which is standard for many printers.
