Northeast Metro 916 Career & Technical Center / Winter 2016

From the Principal

This message is going out to both our current 916 Career & Tech family and those joining us for the 2016-17 school year.  Hello and welcome!

As the 916 Career and Technical Center principal I am elated to report to you that 2015-16 was a banner year at the 916 Career & Tech Center.  We celebrated our students and their achievements at our annual Awards Day event on May 18th.  Each and every student had something to celebrate whether it be college credit, industry certifications or skills they will use in their future careers.  Thank you to all of the friends, family and community partners that joined us on the special day.  More pictures to follow in this newsletter and on our Facebook and Twitter (@916CareerTech).

It's been an active spring season for us.  Thank you to our current students for investing in your future and choosing to be a part of the 916 Career & Tech family.  You have and will continue to make us very proud.  For those of you joining us in the fall, look for a welcome letter this month and more details to come in early August.

Please read on to learn about more of the exciting events and opportunities our students have had this year.  And, as always, we look forward to hearing from you.  Don't hesitate to call or email me at (651) 415-5610 or jill.stewart-kellar@nemetro.k12.mn.us.

Respectfully,

Jill Stewart-Kellar
916 Career & Technical Center Principal
