The Time Has Come: MACRA and MIPS -  If you’re nervous about this, it’s okay. There is a lot to process in the new Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) that has been created out of the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA). MIPS rolls up PQRS, Physician Value-Based Modifiers, Advancing Care Information (formerly known as the EHR Incentive Program and Meaningful Use), as well as Alternative Payment Models. We’re more committed and experienced than ever to advise, guide, and assist you in dealing with the impact of Meaningful Use Stage 3 which has been redefined via MACRA and MIPS. And we’re on the move once again to help you thrive, not just survive. Read more about our plans on the blog.

Upcoming Webinar:
Introduction to MIPS:
During this hour-long discussion we'll introduce you to the basics of MIPS, what you should be doing now to prepare for it and what you can expect in 2017 (based on current regulations).

Increase Patient Satisfaction - Recently, one of our ChartMaker® Medical Suite users initiated a new program to alert patients of current wait times and is finding great success.  Meetinghouse Family Physicians, located in Marlton, NJ started this innovative idea in February and has found that not only are the patients pleased but so are the providers.  Read more about how they did it.
Increase Patient Payments - Many of our offices using our Electronic Patient Statements (EPS) report more patient payments coming in than ever before!  Not only that, EPS will save your staff valuable time as well and the process is really easy.  For offices already using this feature, please remember If your email address has changed or you have not been receiving any email confirmations, please call Software Support ASAP at 800-487-9135, ext. 1 to remedy this.
It's That Easy: Modifying Multiple Charges - Did you know you can fix multiple charge items at once if you forgot to change the facility or provider, or even if the patient’s insurance changed? To do so, in the Review Charges sub-tab, highlight the charges you want to edit (using the Shift or Ctrl key) and click the “Edit” button at the bottom.  Then follow these steps to enter your modifications and BAM, you are done.
Operating Systems No Longer Supported - Please be aware Microsoft Windows 2003 and 2008 Standard server operating systems, and workstation operating systems Windows XP and Vista will not be supported by MedXpress as of July 1, 2016.  Additionally, claim submission and reports through Change Healthcare (formerly Emdeon) will not be supported with these older operating systems as of November 1, 2016.  Also, the Payer Inquiry module will no longer function with the older operating systems after this date.  Please contact our hardware department for additional information on how to upgrade.  The deadline is fast approaching!
